April 2011 Fitness Diary!

Friday, April 1: April began with a bang with a really intense gym session between classes. Four steep kilometres on the treadmill followed immediately by an intense non-stop chest, shoulders, and triceps workout:

Sunday, April 3: The hardest gym session in living memory resulted in a longer-than-usual afternoon power nap. 3.5 very steep kilometers on the treadmill followed immediately by a non-stop quads, hamstrings, calves, traps, lats, biceps, upper and lower back workout:

Tuesday, April 5: Another treadmill and weights session at my favourite gym: 3.5 kilometers on the treadmill followed by a chest, shoulders, and triceps workout.

Wednesday, April 6: A rare late night workout following my Korean class which finished at 9 p.m.! Just weights tonight focusing on some muscles I’ve historically neglected: thighs, hamstrings, calves, sides, abs, lower back, and forearms.

Friday, April 8: A serious and steep 4.5 kilometres on the treadmill (including several intervals at a fast jog) and then a pretty serious back, traps, lats and biceps workout:

Tuesday, April 12: Back exercising today after a weekend in Seoul with my sister Liz and her wonderful family. A nice 1 kilometer swim listening to Murray Gold’s fantastic music for Doctor Who:

Wednesday, April 13: A short but intense late-night weights session after Korean class: chest, shoulders, and triceps.

Thursday, April 14: Five kilometres on the treadmill between classes while listening to trippy music by Danny Elfman:

Friday, April 15: Another short sharp workout today: back, biceps, traps, lats, and lower back.

Saturday, April 16: Legs, abs, and sides in the gym. The hardest core workout in a while.

Sunday, April 17: A steep 3.5 kilometres on the treadmill followed by a short chest, shoulders, and triceps workout. And that caps 6 days of exercise!

Tuesday, April 19: Another quick workout, this time just legs and it was the hardest legs workout in years.

Wednesday, April 20: Yet another quick workout before going to Seoul to see Liz and the rest of her clan: back, traps, lats, biceps, and forearms.

Saturday, April 23: Back on the treadmill after almost a week off it: 3.5 kilometres followed by a chest, shoulders, triceps, abs, and sides workout:

Monday, April 25: A busy day, but I managed to fit in a twenty-minute weights session in which I focused solely on my back and biceps. I’m really liking these short sharp sessions^^.

Wednesday, April 27: A really good cardio workout today (3.5 kilometers) followed by an intense and painful chest, shoulders, and triceps workout.

Thursday, April 28: Another quick 20-minute workout, this time just legs, sides, and abs. And then it was straight to dinner with th teacher trainees for a ton of yummy food.

Friday, April 29: A super steep cardio session before my 12 p.m. class with the teacher trainees. The steeper incline almost killed…

That’s all folks.
