Thursday, February 1: February started with a rest day.
Friday, February 2: February started with two rest days.
Saturday, February 3: Back in the gym for weights and skipping: lats, biceps, upper back, calves, sides, abs, lower back, and outer forearms. In between those sets, I completed 11 skipping sets of 110, 90, 105, 130, 105, 155, 120, 110, 140, 125, and 120 jumps. A total of 1,310 jumps which I think is a world record.
Sunday, February 4: Just about 9.5 kilometers of walking. Not really something I can call strenuous exercise.
Monday, February 5: Unnecessary rest day.
Tuesday, February 6: I didn’t make it to the gym, but I at least got on my exercise bike for a late-night short session:
Wednesday, February 7: Nothing.
Thursday, February 8: Ditto.
Friday, February 9: Nothing again.
Saturday, February 10: See above.
Sunday, February 11: I walked almost 15 kilometers. That kind of counts as exercise.
Monday, February 12: Today, I felt motivated again, and I arrived at the gym mentally ready to exercise. The result was the kind of workout I need to do 4-5 times a week. My session consisted of some weights: sides, lower back, abs, calves, chest, shoulders, traps, triceps, and forearms. The cardio part of my workout included 1,560 skipping jumps over 12 sets of 130, 130, 170, 150, 130, 160, 170, 140, 120, 120, 80, and 60 jumps, as well as eight treadmill minutes. Today also saw the start of another 12-week challenge. The challenge is to lose 10% of my body weight by Monday, May 7. I’m off to a good start in terms of exercise, but diet must also play a role. That’s the hard part.
Tuesday, February 13: Eighteen minutes on my newish exercise bike.
Wednesday, February 14: Weights and 13 skipping sets: back, lats, biceps, forearms, calves, thighs, hamstrings, calves, lower back, abs, and sides. The skipping: 110, 120, 120, 120, 90, 120, 150, 120 60, 130, 110, 130, and 80, for a grand total of 1,460 jumps.
Thursday, February 15: My gym is closed, so I walked most of the afternoon and evening, a total of 22.3 kilometers. It’s been a while since I’ve walked that much in a day!
Friday, February 16: A day of rest.
Saturday, February 17: On my exercise bike for 13 whole minutes.
Sunday, February 18: More walking, almost 23 kilometers. 22.94 to be exact if my app is accurate.
