July 2016 Fitness Diary!

Friday, July 1: July’s fitness campaign began with a weights session: back. lats, biceps, calves, forearms, and lower back.

Saturday, July 2: My first cardio session of the month was accompanied by music from The BFG, John Williams’ latest score:

Sunday, July 3: Nothing to report.

Monday, July 4: A 26-minute cardio session this evening – not too long; not too short:

July 5 -10: Nothing to report.

Monday, July 11: Just cardio to help dust those exerciseless cobwebs after a week at the fascinating CESNUR conference:

Tuesday, July 12: A wee weights session: chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, lower back, calves, and forearms.

Wednesday, July 13: Another cardio session, this one a little steeper and faster and consequently shorter than recent efforts:

Thursday, July 14: Nothing to report.

Friday, July 15: Cardio again!

Saturday, July 16: Nothing to report.

Sunday, July 17: Cardio again on cloudy cooler-than-normal Sunday evening:

Monday, July 18: Cardio again – I seem to have misplaced my motivation for weight training:

Tuesday, July 19: Cardio again – again!

Wednesday, July 20: A late-night return to weights: back, lats, biceps, hamstrings, calves, lower abs, sides, abs, and lower back. Nothing too heavy, but it felt both good and necessary.

Thursday, July 21: Nothing to report.

Friday, July 22: Cardio again!

Saturday, July 23: Nothing to report.

Sunday, July 24: More of the same:

Monday, July 25: More of the same:

Tuesday, July 26: Weights again! Chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, forearms, thighs, hamstrings, calves, and core! I needed that. It’s been too long (again) since I’ve felt that sweet tiredness from lifting weights. And the next-day soreness was at a level I have not felt in a very long time.

Wednesday, July 27: Nothing to report.

Thursday, July 28: Cardio once more:

Friday, July 29:  Cardio for a change:

Saturday, July 30: An evening weights session finished July’s exercise campaign. It took place too soon after dinner for a core working; instead, I exercised my lats, back, biceps, thighs, hamstrings, calves, and forearms.

Considering I spent an exerciseless week at a conference and considering Korea is in the middle of a heatwave, I think I did pretty well. Well done, me!

Sunday, July 31: Nothing to report.

Total Cardio Sessions: 13

Total Treadmill Minutes: 325

Days Without Exercise: 13!
