Harold Faltermeyer's Axel F Theme from Beverly Hills Cop

I originally hoped to record the whole piece, but unfortunately my keyboard skills weren't up to the task. Instead I just recorded the main melody. And this video marks the first appearance of my new digital drum machine. I'm still not sure if it was a waste of money or not, but it sure is fun to hit:

How To Make A Hamster Pie

Yum!

Henry Mancini's Pink Panther Theme!

Here's my take on Henry Mancini's classic Pink Panther theme. This was definitely the most fun I've ever had playing music and making videos. Special thanks to Sydney Street's Mark Wash for lending me his bongos^^

Henry Mancini's Baby Elephant Walk (Version 2)

I can't get this song out of my head!

Joe Satriani's Tears In The Rain (Piano & Guitar)

Originally a solo guitar piece, I wouldn't be surprised of Joe Satriani wrote this on piano. I found it easier to play on piano despite still being a beginner. The guitar part has some big stretched for the right hand. Ooops, I messed the guitar part up a little - I recorded the piano part first and that took quite a few takes, so by the time I sat down to record the guitar part I couldn't be bothered with multiple takes...

Henry Mancini's Baby Elephant Walk On Guitar & Ukulele!

A very funky version of Henry Mancini's "Baby Elephant Walk" with special guest Greg Williamson on the ukulele (uke):

Joe Satriani's Always With Me, Always With You

A spur-of-the-moment decision to record while watching Korea play Japan in the semi-final of the Asia Cup resulted in this video. Not a perfect performance, but I'm satisfied enough with it to move on to the next piece which is also by Joe Satriani...

January 2011 Listening Diary!

Sunday, January 23: Oops, I'm very late starting this entry. Let's see if I can remember what I've been listening to...

Practicing Joe Satriani's Always With Me, Always With You

Some Sunday morning guitar (and a little piano) practice. I love this piece and like Cavatina (which I amateurishly recorded last week), learning the melody and accompaniment on piano has given me a new appreciation of this piece. A perfectly crafted piece of music... thanks Joe!

January 2011 Fitness Diary!

Sunday, January 2: I began my 2011 fitness campaign with a 30-minute treadmill jog. Much to my annoyance, the treadmill I started on died suddenly at about the 15 minute mark. I continued on another treadmill, hence the picture of the display only tells half the story and I was forced to write the real figures over it. I guess I'm still too heavy....
