December 2013 Fitness Diary!

Sunday, December 1: A chest, shoulders, and triceps workout at the Hamilton Hotel to start what will hopefully be an action-packed exercise month.

Monday, December 2: A 36-minute treadmill session after class:

Tuesday, December 3: Legs, lower back, and traps after the last long Tuesday of the semester.

Wednesday, December 4: A 2.1 kilometer sprint – I had been hoping for 3, but it just didn’t happen. Some abs workout to end the session:

Thursday, December 5: A reluctant short workout: back, lats, biceps, lower back, calves, and a little skipping to burn an extra few calories.
Friday, December 6: A 4 kilometer run in pretty good time:

Sunday, December 8: Back to my Sunday gym in Itewon for a chest, shoulders, and triceps workout plus a sweaty 6-kilometer run:

Tuesday, December 10: Back, biceps, lats, traps, lower, back, sides, abs, and a 1-kilometer sprint. Oops, be careful of shin splints:

Saturday, December 14: Legs, a 4-kilometre treadmill session, and more legs:

Monday, December 16: A huge chest, shoulders, and triceps workout capped by a lightning 2.1-kilometer run:

Tuesday, December 17: Just a short legs workout today.

Friday, December 20: I almost didn’t make it to the gym, but my desire to keep up this habit of mine won over: back, biceps, lats, traps, lower back, calves, and a 30-minute treadmill session:

Sunday, December 22: A slower 50-minute treadmill trek to give my shins a rest from recent faster runs:

Tuesday, December 24: This year’s Christmas Eve workout was a good one: chest, shoulders, triceps, sides, and calves, and a 4.5 uphill treadmill trek with a little jogging thrown in to get the heart rate and sweat glands working:

Thursday, December 26: My usual back workout (back, lats, traps, and biceps) with some calf exercises to finish.
Friday, December 27: Hamstrings and calves while waiting for my favorite treadmill to become available and once it was a 4.5ish uphill trek:

Saturday, December 28: A 25-minute core workout (abs, lower back, sides, and lower abs). And those are the body parts that need the most work.

Sunday, December 29: Another 50-minute treadmill session in Itewon:

That was it for the year. Less cardio workouts than last year, but I think overall I had a much busier year.
