{"id":1114,"date":"2015-10-02T12:07:35","date_gmt":"2015-10-02T03:07:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/home\/?p=1114"},"modified":"2017-08-21T19:57:23","modified_gmt":"2017-08-21T10:57:23","slug":"october-2015-fitness-diary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peterdaley.net\/home\/october-2015-fitness-diary\/","title":{"rendered":"October 2015 Fitness Diary!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Thursday, October 1: <\/strong>My birthday month began well fitness-wise with a 50+minute cardio workout undertaken on two treadmills because the incline on the first one began literally acting up after about 9 minutes:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/01.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, October 2:<\/strong> A short, sharp chest, shoulders, triceps, and traps workout after band practice.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, October 3:<\/strong> Another 50-plus minute sweaty treadmill session:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/02.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"471\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, October 5: <\/strong>Another marathon cardio session:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/03.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"456\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, October 7: <\/strong>A shorter (yet more strenuous) cardio session due to time constraints:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/04.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"441\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, October 8: <\/strong>A 50-minute weights session after dinner. It wasn&#8217;t too strenuous, but I did quite a lot of sets: back, lats, biceps, forearms, calves, lower back, and sides.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, October 9:<\/strong>\u00a0I envisaged a long cardio session when I woke up, but a wee headache plus a desire to update other parts of my site saw me ratchet up the speed aiming to run 3 kilometres in under 15 minutes. I ran half that distance before some unexpected wheezing and a call from nature ended my run prematurely:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/05.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"460\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, October 10: <\/strong>The longer cardio session I had planned for yesterday finally happened!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/06.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"468\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, October 11:<\/strong> Weights! Chest, shoulders, traps, triceps, calves (a little bit), thighs, and hamstrings. My chest and shoulders were very sore the next day. My legs not so much.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, October 12:<\/strong> Just a five-minute run\/sprint. Shortest workout perhaps ever, but it sure got the heart rate up!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/07.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"453\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, October 14:<\/strong> A slightly longer run tonight:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/08.jpg\" width=\"249\" height=\"484\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, October 15: <\/strong>A short core and abs workout ahead of a band practise session that ended up being cancelled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, October 16: <\/strong>Slightly faster and slightly longer run to celebrate yet another\u00a0birthday<strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/09.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"441\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, October 17: <\/strong>A killer weights session today ahead of tonight&#8217;s birthday concert! Back, biceps, lats, calves, lower back, and legs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, October 20:<\/strong> A shorter but necessary cardio session after a couple of days rest.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/10.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"474\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, October 21:<\/strong> An even shorter cardio session which came hot on the heels of another pretty decent weights session: chest, shoulders, triceps, calves, and forearms:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/11.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"497\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, October 24: <\/strong>A 40ish-minute cardio session on a balmy Saturday evening. It was so balmy, I walked home!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/12.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"457\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, October 26: <\/strong>A Monday evening weights session to start the week: back, lats, biceps, lower back, calves, and a little obliques.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, October 28: <\/strong>Fifty minutes of cardio bliss:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2015\/10\/13.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"511\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, October 29:\u00a0<\/strong>I was this close to skipping the gym today, but I resisted temptation!
