Of course, that&#8217;s not a reason to avoid the gym per se. <strong>9,916 steps\/7.51 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 2: <\/strong>As above: <strong>19,141 steps\/14.5 km<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 3: <\/strong>Ditto:<strong> 16,082 steps\/12.2 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, May 4: <\/strong>More of the same: <strong>11,928 steps\/9.02 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, May 5: <\/strong>More of the same again: <strong>14,157 steps\/11.2 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, May 6:<\/strong> My first gym day of the month: <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>leg extensions, glutes, calves, tricep, and biceps. And some light shoulder movements: side raises, which doesn&#8217;t seem to involve the injured part of my shoulder, and some seated rows and some light lat exercises (G1).<\/strong> <\/span>My steps for the day: <strong>17,849\/13.5 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, May 7:<\/strong> Another gym session in which I carefully and lightly tested out my sore shoulder:<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">hamstrings, inner thighs, sides, lower back, abs &#8211; and on the very light side: shoulder raises, rear shoulder raises, shoulder press, seated rows, pull downs and bench presses (G2). <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And my steps for the day:<\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> 17,533\/13.8 km.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 8:<\/strong> Just some walking today: <strong>17,052 steps\/12.9 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 9: <\/strong>A gym session between classes: <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">leg extenions, glutes, calves, biceps, triceps, core, and still very carefully: shoulders, chest, lats, and back (G3). <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And my steps for the day: <strong>12,401\/9.25 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 10: <\/strong>Just some walking on a nice relaxing day with almost no work to do once my short morning tutoring session was over: <strong>16,089 steps\/12.5 km.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, May 11: <\/strong>Just some walking on a rainy wet aweful weather day that resulted in me skipping my planned evening walk and potential gym session. I did however, do some light exercises\u00a0 with my exercise bands that I haven&#8217;t used for over a year. My steps for the day: <strong>10,828\/8.55 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, May 12: <\/strong>Back in the gym, and my shoulder felt much better. I still was careful with chest and back movements, but I still managed a pretty decent and I think safe workout:<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong> lats, back, bench presses with just the bar, shoulders, biceps, and triceps (G4).<\/strong> <\/span>And my steps for the day on a beautiful late spring Sunday: <strong>23,265\/17.2 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, May 13:<\/strong> Just some walking: <strong>12,542 steps\/9.73 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, May 14: <\/strong>Almost a full body but light workout, and although I&#8217;m still be careful of my shoulder, I increased shoulder movement exercises and lived to tell the tale:<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> <strong>leg extensions, hamstrings, calves, chest, shoulders, lats, back, biceps. triceps, and core (G5) <\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And my steps for the day: <strong>16,842\/12.5 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 15: <\/strong>A jeans and T-shirt gym session as the gym&#8217;s clothes were all being washed: <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>leg extensions, glutes, hamstrings, forearms, sides, and lower back, calves, and some light shoulder exercises (G6).<\/strong><\/span> And my steps for the day, which were all in the rain: <strong>17,416\/13\/2 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 16: <\/strong>Just some walking both in the morning and after my night class: <strong>13,979 steps\/10.8 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 17: <\/strong>More walking: <strong>20,055 steps\/15.3 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, May 18:<\/strong> An evening gym session in which I did more chest and shoulder work &#8211; the most since I last aggravated my shoulder injury: <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>chest, shoulders, traps, and triceps (G7).<\/strong><\/span> My steps for the day: <strong>12,315\/9.6 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, May 19:<\/strong> Some work, cleaning, and walking got in the way of a gym session, but I&#8217;m happy to report my shoulder feels about 98%. My steps for the day: <strong>20,684\/15.9 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, May 20:<\/strong> More walking: <strong>10,241 steps\/8.16 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, May 21: <\/strong>As above: <strong>20,684 steps\/15.9 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 22:<\/strong> Ditto: <strong>13,415 steps\/10.4 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 23:<\/strong> As above again: <strong>16,105 steps\/12.3 km.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 24:<\/strong> More walking again, but I had a pretty prodictive day:<strong>15,344\/11.8 km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, May 25: <\/strong>Back in the gym after a week -wow. Hopefully, that&#8217;ll be the last week break for a long time. And it felt so good to workout again:<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong> lats, back, traps, lower back, calves, leg extensions, and glutes (G8). <\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And my shoulder gave me no trouble although it still doesn&#8217;t feel quite normal. I should stretch it more.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>And my steps for the day:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, May 26:<\/strong> Just walking for the remainder of the month as I was deep into grading:<strong> 13,808\/10.2 km<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, May 27:<\/strong> 14,548 steps\/11.3 km.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday. May 28:<\/strong> 19,196 steps\/14.2 km<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 29:<\/strong> 16,329 steps\/12.4 km<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday. May 30:<\/strong> 14,014 steps\/10.6 km.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 31:<\/strong> 14,691 steps\/11.1 km.
