And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>17,223\/13.1 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, December 8: <\/strong>Just some walking: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>13,189 steps\/10.4 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, December 9:<\/strong> As above: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>17,699 steps\/13.4 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, December 10: <\/strong>As above again: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>11,801 steps\/8.97 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, December 11:<\/strong> A return to my gym for a workout that left me pretty exhausted: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>leg extensions, some weightless squats, hamstrings, calves, butt, back, lats, biceps, traps, lower back, a plank, and a set of push-ups (W5).<\/strong><\/span> And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>20,691 steps\/15.4 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, December 12: <\/strong>Another gym session: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, and obliques (W6). <\/strong><\/span>And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>23,516\/17.9 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, December 13: <\/strong>Just some walking: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>17,477 steps\/13.2 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, December 14: <\/strong>And some more walking: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>21,104 steps\/15.7 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, December 15: <\/strong>A huge evening workout lasted 1 hour and 13 minutes and left me really feeling it. <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>I worked every body part except chest, shoulders, and triceps (W7).<\/strong><\/span> And actually, my chest got a little workout with a set of push-ups following a plank. And my steps for the day: <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">15,265\/11.9 km.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, December 16: <\/strong>At the gym, I exercised my other muscles, but I changed my usual order for some variety: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>triceps, shoulders, chest, triceps, and a plank (W8).<\/strong><\/span> And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>19,049\/14.6 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, December 17: <\/strong>Just some walking: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>11,488 steps\/8.85 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, December 18: <\/strong>Another most-bdy workout: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>every body part except chest, shoulders, triceps, and forearms, but I again did a set of push-ups following a plank (W9).<\/strong> <\/span>And my steps for the day: <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">18,995\/14.2 km.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, December 19:<\/strong> Just some walking as the grading of final presentations continued: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>14,917 steps\/11.5 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, December 20: <\/strong>An evening weights session: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>shoulders, chest, traps, chest, core, calves, and forearms (W10).<\/strong><\/span> And my steps for the day:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, December 21: <\/strong>I skipped the gym today, opting to get a lot of work done instead &#8211; and that kind of actually happened, much to my surprise. So today&#8217;s exercise was just my usual walking around listening to music and reflecting on my life&#8217;s past, present, and imagined futures:<span style=\"color: #000080;\"> <strong>14,492 steps\/11.3 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, December 22: <\/strong>A night gym session starting at 7:50 PM almost didn&#8217;t happen due to the cold winter night and my bed being warm and snuggly: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>legs and core (W11),<\/strong> <\/span>but there is a lot contained in those two words. And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>14,879\/11.4 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, December 23:\u00a0 <\/strong>As I type this just after 3 PM and the end of my first winter intensive class, I&#8217;m planning to hit my gym at around 7 PMish.\u00a0 The gym session didn&#8217;t happen, alas. And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>12,799\/9.6 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, December 24: <\/strong>Some walking after class: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>15,012 steps\/11.3 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, December 25 (Xmas!):<\/strong> An evening Christmas workout:<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong> back, lats, traps, biceps, calves, and core (W12).<\/strong><\/span> And also some Christmas walking listening to some John Williams&#8217; Christmasy music:<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong> 14,661 steps\/11.1 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, December 26:<\/strong> Just some walking as prepping for my winter class is taking up more time that I had expected: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>14,209 steps\/11.1 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, December 27:<\/strong> Back in the gym as the last weekend of 2024 gets underway: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, calves, forearms, and a little core work (W13).<\/strong> <\/span>And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>19,413\/14.5 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, December 28: <\/strong>An evening gym session: <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">leg extensions, hamstrings, and glutes (W14).<\/span> <\/strong>And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>13,012\/9.95 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, December 29: <\/strong>Another evening gym session:<strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"> back, lats, biceps, lower back, and a plank (W15).<\/span><\/strong>And my usual walking around the neighborhood: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>15,657 steps\/12.2 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, December 30:<\/strong> I skipped the gym for some evening walking: <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">17,107 steps\/13.3 km.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, December 31:<\/strong> I ended the year pretty casually with just some walking: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>16,456 steps\/12.6 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">__________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weights Sessions:<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> 15<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cardio Sessions (Recumbent Exercise Bike): <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Total Steps: <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">511,717<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps Per Day: <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">16,507\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sunday, December 1: A final workout in my favorite and only gym: chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, legs, and a plank (W1).
