My steps for the day (sadly, fewer than 10,000): <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>9,345\/6.74 km<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, May 5:<\/strong> Just some walking again: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>16,479\/12.1 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, May 6:<\/strong> Finally, my first real gym session of the month, and it was quite a varied one: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>chest, shoulders, triceps, entire core, two dead hangs, calves, hamstrings, and lats (W1).<\/strong><\/span> And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>13,987\/10.4 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 7: <\/strong>Just some walking, but probably the least number of steps since I was last sick with the flu:<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong> 5,639\/4.24 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday May 8:<\/strong> A niggling muscle strain in my neck flared up, so I&#8217;ll take some time away from the gym, and get some meds and a big hot pack. So just some walking again: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>13,014 steps\/9.85 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 9:<\/strong> More of the same, but fewer steps: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>9,813 steps\/7.11 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, May 10:<\/strong> I picked up the walking, but still avoiding the gym: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>24, 356 steps\/18.5 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, May 11:<\/strong> Ditto: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>22,387 steps\/16.4 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, May 12:<\/strong> Back in the gym in the morning for a quick cardio session: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>21 minutes\/5.2 km (C1).\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">And I think I&#8217;m ready to return to weight training tonight. But that did not happen. What did happen was a long lazy night of reading after an afternoon\/evening nap. My dismal steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>6,037\/4.32 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, May 13: <\/strong>Another morning cardio session: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>17 minutes\/4.3 km (C2).<\/strong><\/span> And I finally made it back to the gym for a weights session: <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">lats, back, traps, core, and calves (W2).<\/span><\/strong> And my steps for the day surprised me as it didn&#8217;t feel like I had walked that much: <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">15,047\/11.2 km.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 14: <\/strong>Just some walking:<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong> 9,674\/7.09 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 15: <\/strong>A long overdue decent gym session finally:<strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"> chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, abs, forearms, and legs (W3). <\/span><\/strong>And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>13,636\/9.93 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 16: <\/strong>Just some walking again, and a scary number of steps: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>1,666\/12.6 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, May 17:<\/strong> A busy day doing interviews and scoring some essays, but I thankfully made it to the gym for a quick session before they closed at 9 PM: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>lats, back, biceps, lower back, and one short dead hang (W4).<\/strong> <\/span>And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>10,187\/7.39 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, May 18:<\/strong> Another night gym session before its 9 PM closure: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, calves, back, a dead hang, lower back, and sides (W5).<\/strong><\/span> And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>15,395\/11.6 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, May 19: <\/strong>Just some walking:\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>11,497\/8.57 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, May 20:<\/strong> Another night gym session, and I just decided to about two sets of each exercise as I wasn&#8217;t feeling like a super-intense session: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>back, lats, biceps, traps, forearms, leg extensions, hip thrusts, calves, hamstring curls, a dead hang, a plank, sides, and lower back (W5).<\/strong><\/span> And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>16,597\/12.4 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 21: <\/strong>Just some walking: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>14,852\/10.4 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 22: <\/strong>As above: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>12,718\/9.59 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, March 23:<\/strong> A gym session in the afternoon: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>chest, shoulders, triceps, triceps, calves, and core (W6).<\/strong> <\/span>And a whole lot of walking: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>24,317\/17.5 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, May 24: <\/strong>A gym session in the afternoon:<strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"> back, lats, core, calves, traps, and biceps (W7).<\/span> <\/strong>And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>11,777\/8.96 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, May 25:<\/strong> Another night gym session before my gym closed: <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">calves, hamstrings, inner thighs, leg extensions (W8)<\/span><\/strong>, a dead hang, core, and forearms. And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>12,470\/9.2 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, May 26:<\/strong> An evening gym session: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>shoulders, triceps, chest, glutes, calves, sides, lower back, and lats (W9).<\/strong> <\/span>And my steps for the day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>17,852\/12.7 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, May 27: <\/strong>Just some walking due to pizza and a movie with Hee-soo: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>9,636 steps\/6.98 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 28:<\/strong> Just some walking again: <strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">15,298 steps\/11.1 km.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 29:<\/strong> Just a little walking on my busy day: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>7,551 steps\/5.43 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 30:<\/strong> A decent weights session: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>back, lats, lower back, biceps, traps, rear shoulders, forearms, and calves (W10).<\/strong> <\/span>And a lot of walking: 25,030 steps\/18.7 km.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, May 31: <\/strong>A fasted cardio session: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>43 minutes\/10\/1 km (C3)<\/strong><\/span>, and a little weights: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>sides and a plank (W11).<\/strong><\/span> And to finish a less active month: <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>13.356 steps\/10.5 km.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">__________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weights Sessions:<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> 11\/24<\/span> (May\/April)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cardio Sessions (Recumbent Exercise Bike): <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">3\/5<\/span> (May\/April)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Total Steps: <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">441,657<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps Per Day: <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">14.247<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thursday, May 1: Just some walking to end the month as I rushed to finish grading my students&#8217; first discussions: 10,206\/7.26 km.
