I also threw in a couple of lower back extensions because the stiffness from Sunday&#8217;s workout had gone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, May 4:<\/strong> A solid chest, shoulders, and triceps workout preceded by a steep 3.5 kilometers on my second favourite treadmill:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202011\/20110504.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Thursday, May 5:<\/strong> Thirty-five minutes on a spin bike because all the treadmills were being used:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202011\/20110505.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 6:<\/strong> Up bright and early for an intense 3o-minute legs, abs, and sides workout in my favourite gym. I expect to be very sore tomorrow and will be bitterly disappointed if I&#8217;m not.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Monday, May 9:<\/strong> An early morning 4-kilometer treadmill session to make up for a rare exercise-less weekend:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202011\/20110509.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, May 12: <\/strong>Thirty minutes on a\u00a0spin bike followed by a back (upper and lower), traps, lats,\u00a0and biceps workout:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202011\/20110512.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 13: <\/strong>Up early for a short legs, abs, and sides workout.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Saturday, May 14:<\/strong> At an hour and 15 minutes, today&#8217;s workout was the longest and hardest in a good long while. Today&#8217;s workout consisted of exercises for my chest, shoulders, triceps, and forearms (my triceps are particularly sore as I type this Sunday morning), followed by 4 steep kilometers on\u00a0my favourite\u00a0treadmill:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202011\/20110514.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, May 20:<\/strong> Back exercising today after being sick since last Sunday. It&#8217;s been a while since I&#8217;ve gone so long without exercising and I really felt like I needed a workout. No cardio yet as I&#8217;m still not completely over this cruel cold, so it was a pure weights: back, biceps, traps, lats, thighs, hamstrings, calves, and lower back.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Saturday, May 21:<\/strong> I continued dusting away the cobwebs caused by my recent cold with another weights session: chest, shoulders, triceps, forearms, sides, and abs.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Tuesday, May 24:<\/strong> My first cardio session since recovering from last week&#8217;s serious cold was a frustrating one for two reasons: one, a phone call from a wrong number, and two, the sudden death of the first treadmill I used 16 minutes after I hopped on it:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202011\/20110524.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Thursday, May 26:<\/strong> Up early (relatively) for a back, biceps, traps, lats, sides, and lower back workout followed by my 299th cardio workout since record taking began way back in the summer of 2009:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202011\/20110526.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Friday, May 27:<\/strong> A short sharp chest, shoulders, triceps, and calves workout despite feeling pretty tired today after a late night playing cards at Sydney St.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">And that was it for the month. A late night Friday night after the Kemmys\u00a0kept\u00a0me exercising on Saturday,\u00a0a late\u00a0night following Seanan&#8217;s wedding kept me from exercising on Sunday, and a busy day Monday and a returning cold kept me from exercising Monday and\u00a0Tuesday.
