I hate being sick. I know everyone says that, but I hate being sick more than everyone else.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, April 7:<\/strong> A back, biceps, traps, lats, and legs workout to celebrate my almost full recovery.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, April 8:<\/strong> Finally felt well enough to return to the cross-trainer and the resulting 50-minute workout. It felt like I sweated more than normal, but I was glad to realize when I finished that my cold hadn&#8217;t obviously affected my cardio fitness level:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202012\/20120409.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, April 9:<\/strong> A short sharp chest, shoulders, and triceps workout,\u00a0my first in\u00a0what feels like a very long time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, April 12:<\/strong> A quick legs workout in between finishing work and leaving for a work-related dinner at Camp Walker.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, April 13:<\/strong> 50 scary cross-trainer minutes on this Friday the 13th:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202012\/20120413.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, April 14:<\/strong> Solid back and biceps workout at the gym after Jeff helped me jump-start my car.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Tuesday, April 17:<\/strong> Up early for an inclined treadmill session followed by a brief but intense leg workout:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202012\/20120417.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, April 19:<\/strong> A sweaty 55-minute cross-trainer session after work:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202012\/20120419.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, April 21:<\/strong> A solid back, biceps, sides, lower\u00a0back, and abs workout first thing in the morning before the annual Keimyung staff hike in the rain.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Tuesday, April 24:<\/strong> A very fast 50-minute cross-trainer session as the half marathon I signed up for next month draws closer.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202012\/20120424.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, April 26:<\/strong> A solid chest, shoulders, and triceps workout followed by my first skipping session in over a year!<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Friday, April 27:<\/strong> I ended my busiest week ever with a return to the treadmill to test out my calf &#8211; no problems and immediately after that I did 5 or 6 sets of skips and a few sets of bicep curls:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202012\/20120427.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, April 29:<\/strong> My first swim since the middle of February!<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202012\/20120429.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Monday, April 30:<\/strong> A fifty-minute session on my favourite cross-trainer followed by some skipping to end the month and start the week:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202012\/20120430.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another sore throat heralded in the new month, and the\u00a0cold that followed\u00a0kept me from exercising April 7.
