And then a severe common cold struck me my last day in Japan, resulting in a further week of inactivity. By the time I returned to the gym, the month was almost half over&#8230;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, August 13: <\/strong>Legs, abs, and sides, and after a two-week break. Coupled with the heat, I have to say that almost killed me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, August 14:<\/strong> Chest, shoulders, triceps, and a 1.5 kilometre run which again almost killed me.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202013\/20130814_zpsd9b5ba26.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, August 16:<\/strong> Back biceps, lower back, traps, lats, sides, and another sprint (I think &#8220;sprint&#8221; is the right word).<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202013\/20130816_zps5be8b8df.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, August 17:<\/strong> Abs, calves, a ten-minute run, and lots of skipping. I need to skip more.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202013\/20130817_zps4627cb1d.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, August 19:<\/strong> Legs and a 1-kilometre sprint. I&#8217;m too lazy to elaborate further:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202013\/20130819_zps828ba775.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, August 20:<\/strong> Chest, shoulders, triceps, some skipping, and a 5-minute sprint:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202013\/20130820_zpscdb35010.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, August 22:<\/strong> Back biceps, traps, lats (actually I don&#8217;t remember exactly) and sprint which I do remember. It went something like this:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202013\/20130822_zps83678422.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, August 26:<\/strong> Chest, shoulders, triceps, sides, calves, and my now regular 1.2ish kilometre sprint:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202013\/20130826_zps5d7810e0.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, August 27:<\/strong> An afternoon workout at Itewon Hotel to make up\u00a0for a frightening breakfast consisting of a chocolate shake and cupcakes in jars. To punish myself I went a little crazy in the gym with a super back, lats, traps, biceps, lower back, and forearms workout. Very sore the next day as I type this. Oach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, August 28:<\/strong> Legs and a steep 2 kilometer uphill treadmill trek:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/s827.photobucket.com\/user\/CaptPorridge2\/media\/Fitness%202013\/20130828_zps7d5177b5.jpg.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202013\/20130828_zps7d5177b5.jpg\" alt=\" photo 20130828_zps7d5177b5.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\"><strong>Friday, August 30:<\/strong> Chest, shoulders, triceps, calves, a 5.5-minute sprint plus some skipping:<\/div>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i827.photobucket.com\/albums\/zz192\/CaptPorridge2\/Fitness%202013\/20130830_zpsab6d27ce.jpg\" alt=\" photo 20130830_zpsab6d27ce.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">That&#8217;s it for August.
