I would often return to favorite pieces, but newer scores and less-known older scores all but disappeared from my listening radar.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>That changed with the recent release of Horner&#8217;s score to James Cameron&#8217;s very blue <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B002P5XXR0\">Avatar<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(2009). It had been a while since I had been excited by a new James Horner score and\u00a0<em>Avatar<\/em> rekindled my interest in his music that had for too long been absent from my ears.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Instead of listening to my favorite pieces, I decided to explore all those James Horner scores I had been neglecting. And I&#8217;m glad I did as that exploration has led to finding and rediscovering some beautiful music that had essentially been sitting in my pocket unnoticed and ignored since I bought\u00a0my first iPod.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Among the scores I&#8217;ve been rediscovering and exploring for the first time are <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B0000046PT\">The Man Without a Face<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>(1993), <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B00004VOB9\">Dad<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(1989),\u00a0<strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B0000028UQ\">Sneakers<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(1992), <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B000002O5Q\">The Land Before Time<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>(1998), <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B00QR4BP5W\">A Far Off Place<\/a><\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0<strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B0000DD57E\">Radio<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(2003), <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B00005UNWX\">Iris<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B000000OC4\">Swing Kids<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(1993), <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B000CQQHQS\">The New World<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(2005), <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B00005A8H2\">Enemy at the Gates<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>(2001), <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B00005Q4JE\">Windtalkers<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (2002), <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B000001ZD0\">Cocoon<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, and <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/peterdaley-20\/detail\/B000K7UH3S\">Apocalypto<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>(2006).
