My fast was broken just over 19 hours since it began.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday\/Thursday (Sept. 2 &amp; 3): <\/strong>Wednesday&#8217;s fast began a little earlier at 12:31 p.m., after a banana smoothie and half a lamb pie. I had the other half of that lamb pie and a small bowl of cereal a few hours later, and the fasting clock began again at 3:49 pm. And as I type this some 18.5 hours later, breakfast sits in front of me eager to be consumed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2020fasting\/145.png\" width=\"200\" height=\"201\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday\/Wednesday (Sept. 8 &amp; 9): <\/strong>After a few days off that kind of included fasts, I returned to a proper clean fast that started at 5:40 p.m. and ended at 10:23 the next morning.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2020fasting\/146.png\" width=\"200\" height=\"201\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday\/Thursday (Sept. 9 &amp; 10):\u00a0 <\/strong>I started the fasting clock again just before 4 p.m. at exactly 3:57. But I ate before bed after walking 19,000 steps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday\/Friday (Sept. 10 &amp; 11): <\/strong>The fasting clock started late at 8:57 p.m. after a rare McDonald&#8217;s meal. I had a latte at around the 15-hour mark. I had the day&#8217;s first food 3.5 hours later.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2020fasting\/147.png\" width=\"200\" height=\"193\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday\/Saturday (Sept. 11 &amp; 12):<\/strong> The fasting clock started at 5:28 p.m. after a protein shake in anticipation of an evening home workout. A had a coffee with a splash of milk just as my 9 a.m. and then I broke my fast with food during the break 55 minutes later for a fast of 16 and a half hours.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2020fasting\/148a.png\" width=\"200\" height=\"198\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday\/Monday (Sept. 13 &amp; 14): <\/strong>I took the day off yesterday, but I&#8217;m ready for a longer fast and that fast started at 2:46 as I settled down to do some work ahead of a long walk in cafe that actually allows people to sit inside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday\/Friday (Sept. 17 &amp; 18):<\/strong> I need to get back on track. I completed a fast of 16 hours and 35 minutes. Weekend plans make fasting a little tricky, but Sunday afternoon, I begin anew.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2020fasting\/149a.png\" width=\"200\" height=\"203\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday\/Monday (Sept. 20 &amp; 21): <\/strong>My fast started at 6:46 p.m. and ended 20 hours later. A coffee with a splash mik kicked off the day, but that&#8217;s okay, and I think that put me back on track!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2020fasting\/150a.png\" width=\"200\" height=\"188\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday\/Tuesday (Sept. 21 &amp; 22): <\/strong>My fast started at 5:42 p.m. And it ended before bed after a pretty intense evening weights session.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday\/Wednesday (Sept. 22 &amp; 23):<\/strong> The fasting clock started at 7:30 pm. I had a latte 15.5 hours later. The fast just passed the 17-hour mark, and I intend to not eat for quite a while. That &#8220;quite a while&#8221; wasn&#8217;t as long as I thought it would be, but a dry fast of 19 hours and 22 minutes isn&#8217;t too bad.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2020fasting\/151.png\" width=\"200\" height=\"206\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday\/Thursday (Sept 23 &amp; 24): <\/strong>Another fast was cancelled just before 11 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday\/Friday (Sept. 24 &amp; 25): Not a fast per se, but I did consume relatively few calories over a 24-hour period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday\/Saturday (Sept. 25 &amp; 26):\u00a0<\/strong> pre-workout protein smoothie started a fast at 7:01. The resulting fasty wasn&#8217;t too long at 16 hours and 17 minutes, but it was entirely clean and it included an hour of weights.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2020fasting\/152.png\" width=\"200\" height=\"192\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday\/Sunday (Sept. 26 &amp; 27):\u00a0 <\/strong>I ended a fast of 16 hours and 47 minutes on Saturday after my first class on campus since February.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/peterdaley.net\/images\/fitness\/2020fasting\/153a.png\" width=\"200\" height=\"192\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday\/Momday (Sept. 27 &amp; 28):<\/strong> Another non-fast, but I did go slightly over 21 hours without eating much.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday\/Wednesday (Sept. 29 &amp; 30):<\/strong> The fasting clock started a pretty big dinner at 7:42 p.m. I then walked about 14 kilometers and as I type this, my fast just passed 16 hours and 10 minutes. I&#8217;m in a Starbucks, but I sneakily haven&#8217;t ordered anything yet due to a bit of a line at the counter when I arrived.
