I've been bookmarking interesting articles about the Sony hack since it was first announced, but there has been an explosion of interesting articles and comments over the past couple of days since post-hack threats of violence were made, resulting in theaters getting cold feet after Sony offered them the option of not showing the film. That explosion happily coincided with me having more free time, so I can now begin the repetitive and rather mindless task of posting all those links. And no, I don't have OCD; I just love long lists. Who doesn't?
Again, I'm more comfortable tackling lesser-known groups as I feel that's where my little niche lies, but this is another Korean cult-related event (even if NK wasn't behind the hack) that not only has the attention of the world but also connects with my other passion in life: film music. It's not often I see composers I admire posting about a Korean cult on Facebook^. Plus, this has all the Hollywood stars talking, and when they talk, it's news.
First up, a summary of key events from Nov. 24 to late December:
A Breakdown & Analysis of the Sony Hack (https://www.riskbasedsecurity.com/2014/12/a-breakdown-and-analysis-of-the-december-2014-sony-hack/)
And now the promised list of articles in chronological order with no regard whatsoever to the international dateline because that would just complicate things. This is a story you can follow just from the headlines if you're a lazy reader. To be honest, that's kind of what I'm doing:
