Thursday, February 1: The month started quietly with two busy days interviewing students, so I didn’t get to the gym until Saturday. Just some walking: 14,039 steps/10.4 km.
Friday, February 2: More walking, mostly in the evening after my long stretch of winter classes and work came to an end: 10,898 steps/7.82 km.
Saturday, February 3: A lot of walking instead of a gym session: 21,427 steps/15 km.
Sunday, February 4: My first gym session of the month was a litte overdue: chest, forearms, sides, lower back, calves, and thighs (1). And a little walking as usual: 11,293 steps/8.29 km.
Monday, February 5: Pretty lazy day with less walking than usual: 8,710 steps/6.3 km.
Tuesday, February 6: Back in the gym: hamstrings, inner thighs, abs, outer delts, triceps, biceps, and traps (2). And a little walking: 12,506 steps/8.8 km.
Wednesday, February 7: A lot of walking today as I got out of Seoul and explored part of Sejong city for the first time ever: 24,537 steps/18 km.
Thursday, February 8: A solid workout: back, lats, thighs, glutes, calves, lower back, and a couple of sets of bicep curls (3). Less walking as I also had to do several hours of interviews: 5,940 steps/4.06 km.
Friday, February 9: A quick gym session as the gym’s clothing and towels weren’t available because of the upcoming lunar new year. Why, I don’t know: shoulders, traps, and forearms (4). My steps for the day: 9.135/6.36 km.
Saturday, February 10: Just a lot of walking in Incheon for a change as my gym was closed today: 22,730 steps/17.3 km.
Sunday, February 11: Back in the gym for a pretty good session that left me feeling pretty spent: chest, sides, leg extensions, calves, traps, forearms, and shoulders (5).
Monday, February 12: No gym today, but the most amount of walking I’ve done in a single day since perhaps my climbing of Halla Mountain with Su-bin in the summer of 2020: 36,465 steps/27.8 km, with many of those steps accompanied by the rivetting audiobook version of The Demon in White.
Tuesday, February 13: Another gym session: hamstrings, inner thighs, triceps, biceps, abs, outer delts, traps, and calves (6). And my steps for the day: 12,042/8.75 km.
Wednesday, February 14: Another gym session and quite a lot of walking: thighs, glutes, hamstrings, back, lats, lower back, calves, and outer delts (7). And my steps for the day: 25,191/19 km.
Thursday, February 15: I did some shoulder exercises at home before doing more in the gym along with chest, traps, calves, and forearms (8). And my steps for the day: 10,674/7.67 km.
Friday, February 16: I started teh day with some lower back extensions after watching a few related YouTube videos. Then quite a lot of walking again: 20,708 steps/15.6 km.
Saturday, February 17: A productive early afternoon gym session: hamstrings, inner thighs, calves, sides, traps, biceps, and triceps (9). And my steps for the day: 10,218/7.44 km.
Sunday, February 18: Just some walking as I decided on a day off from the gym to give my muscles, especially my arms, time to recover. My steps for the day: 12,346/9.21 km.
Monday, February 19: Back in my gym for another workout I was proud of: leg extensions, glute things, leg presses, calves, back, lats, and lower back (10). And more walking as usual: 17,580 steps/13 km.
Tuesday, February 20: Another gym session and it’s nice to know that my gym isn’t too busy at around 6 pm on a weeknight: hamstrings, inner thighs, front and outer delts, abs, and forearms (11). And my steps for the day: 9,260/6.71 km.
Wednesday, February 21: A rest day mostly on account of a snow fall with just a little walking: 4,525 steps/3.26 km.
Thursday, February 22: I returned to my favorite gym after a late lunch: leg extensions, leg presses, glutes, calves, traps, forearms, outer delts, sides, and lower back (12). And my steps for the day: 13,326/9.8 km.
Friday, February 23: Another weights session: hamstrings, inner thighs, chest, and front delts (13). And my steps for the day: 10,838/7.8 km.
Saturday, February 24: A break from the gym and just some walking as I listened to the audiobook A Hole in the Sky by Peter F. Hamilton: 21,897 steps/15.7 km
Sunday, February 25: Back in the gym on what is essentially the last Sunday of the winter vacation: leg extensions, leg presses, glute things, triceps, biceps, and forearms (14). And my steps for the day: 13,103/9.89 km.
Monday, February 26: Another weights session in the late afternoon. I didn’t feel like exercising, but once I was there, I was soon in the mood: hamstrings, inner thighs, back, lats, and rear delts (15). And my steps for the day: 14,661/10.7 km.
Tuesday, February 27: As I type this on Monday night, my gym plan is chest, shoulders, sides, and abs. Perhaps thighs too. We will see. That workout did happen, and it was later than usual – starting after 9 PM: chest, front and side delts, abs, and calves (16). And my steps for the day: 20,064/14.5 km.
Wednesday, February 28: Another gym session: leg extensions, hamstrings, glutes, inner thighs, forearms, sides, and lower back (17). And my steps for the day: 10,991 steps/8.07 km
Thursday, February 29: I skipped the gym on the last day of the month. Just some of my usual walking: 14,940 steps/10.9 km.
