Thursday, June 1: I started the month with an 82-minute treadmill session. My original plan was for a short treadmill session and then an intense weights session, but the treadmill didn’t let me go. (Cumulative Total: 82)
Friday, June 2: Just an evening weights session: back, lats, biceps, calves, sides, abs, and lower back.
Saturday, June 3: Seventy treadmill minutes. (Cumulative Total: 152)
Sunday, June 4: Rest day!
Monday, June 5: Chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, and 63 cardio minutes. (Cumulative Total: 215)
Tuesday, June 6: Legs, core, and another 47 treadmill minutes. (Cumulative Total: 262)
Wednesday, June 7: Just weights tonight: back, lats, biceps, forearms, and calves.
Thursday, June 8: No exercise today. I almost made it to the gym in the morning, but I did some grading instead. The evening was filled with a yummy faculty dinner.
Friday, June 9: Back to work with 110 treadmill minutes. (Cumulative Total: 372)
Saturday, June 10: Weights after some guitar gear shopping: chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, and core. Next on the agenda was a 37-minute cardio session. Finally, I ended the day’s exercise with some more core work.(Cumulative Total: 409)
Sunday, June 11: Rest day.
Monday, June 12: A short core workout followed by a shorter 19-minute treadmill session. Busy, busy, busy. Plus, I found myself on my favorite treadmill sans water bottle – long story, so I had to keep things short or die of thirst. (Cumulative Total: 428)
Tuesday, June 13: Another 32 treadmill minutes added to June’s total. Too busy to do more, but I’m glad I made it to the gym. Must not break the habit. (Cumulative Total: 460)
Wednesday, June 14: Two cardio sessions either side of weights: lats, back, biceps, lower back, and calves. (Cumulative Total: 504)
Thursday, June 15: Forty-seven more treadmill minutes. (Cumulative Total: 551)
Friday, June 16: Chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, and 37 treadmill minutes. (Cumulative Total: 588)
Saturday, June 17: I don’t normally include walking in my fitness diaries, but I’ll make an exception today as according to my iPhone, I walked 20.6 kilometers.
Sunday, June 18: Fifty-five treadmill minutes at my back-up gym followed by a light core and calves workout. (Cumulative Total: 643)
Monday, June 19: No gym, but a decent amount of walking – some 16 km according to my phone – sufficed. It’s nice to take a wee break from the gym.
Tuesday, June 20: Two cardio sessions totaling 57 minutes with a legs and lower back workout in between. (Cumulative Total: 700)
Wednesday, June 21: Fifty-eight treadmill minutes followed by some sides and ab work. (Cumulative Total: 758)
Thursday, June 22: Another gymless day that included 18.6 kilometers of walking. I’m having a toenail problem, so I think it’s best to reduce my treadmill hours as the treadmill and/or my running shoes are/is to blame. Alas.
Friday, June 23: Weights (legs, core, back, lats, and biceps) and 30 treadmill minutes. I upped the incline and the speed slightly to make up for the shorter treadmill session. (Cumulative Total: 788)
Saturday, June 24: More walking – 15 kilometers according to my phone – to make up for another gymless day.
Sunday, June 25: About 10.5 kilometers of walking on another gymless day.
Monday, June 26: Ditto. I miss my gym, but my pesky toenail is appreciating the break.
Tuesday, June 27: Another walk instead of a gym session. 11.5 kilometers in total for the day.
Wednesday, June 28: Back in the gym for a light chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, and core workout which was followed by 17 treadmill minutes that were a little steeper and faster than normal. The shorter session was me not wanting to bother my sore toenail. Good to sweat again after a break. (Cumulative Total: 805)
Thursday, June 29: More walking in place of a gym workout. About 12 kilometers according to my iPhone.
Friday, June 30: My last gym session of the month consisted of an intense legs and core workout followed by 19 steep treadmill minutes. (Cumulative Total: 824)
