Welcome to Seoul, Steve Vai!

Just a few months after guitar hero Joe Satriani performed in Seoul, his most famous student, Steve Vai, follows suit, and he’s bringing a few friends with him under the banner of Generation Axe. Here’s Steve discussing the show just ahead of his arrival in Korea.

My Site referenced in New Book About Cults

I just happily discovered that the JMS cult along with material I collected and shared as well as an article I instigated were mentioned in the book Terror, Love and Brainwashing: Attachment in Cults and Totalitarian Systems by Dr. Alexandra Stein.

St Patrick’s Day in Seoul!

A big thank you to the Irish Association of Korea for allowing my band to partake in Saturday’s musical festivities by Shindorim Station. It was the most fun I’ve ever had playing music, and we really gelled as a band after practicing like crazy to get ready despite all our different schedules, Maggie’s overseas business trip, and Tim’s move to the coast. We also played the night before and later that night, making for one of my busiest and musicest weekends ever! The icing on the cake was me winning third prize in the raffle which is a dinner for two at the Sherdon Hotel.  🙂

IPSO Rejects Complaint from Group Accused of Being a Korean Sex Cult

I received a nice surprise in my email box last night in the form of this link to an article about the rejection by the UK’s Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) of a complaint filed by the JMS cult about a recent article concerning them. The nice surprise was the inclusion of my name in the piece. The “alternative facts” put forward by the cult weren’t a surprise at all.

January 2017 Fitness Diary!

My goal for the year is to weigh X kilograms by the end of 2017. That will require a monthly weight loss of 1.1 kilograms. That is an achievable goal if I increase treadmill minutes, exercise regularly, AND watch what I eat. Put like that, it sounds so easy! The exercise part won’t be a problem. And I do always watch what I eat, I just don’t “watch” what I eat. That’s the trick.

Sunday, January 1: A rest to start the year after a fun night performing music. My gym was closed anyway.

Monday, January 2: Sixty and three treadmill minutes to begin the year. (Cumulative Total: 63)
