May 2014 Fitness Diary!

Thursday, May 1: I began May with a legs workout and a short sprint, and it’s hard to spring after doing legs:

Friday, May 2: My gym had a foul odor due to some construction work. That didn’t stop me exercising, but it did stop me from jumping on the treadmill. Just weights instead: back, biceps, lats, traps, and lower back.

Saturday, May 3: Alternate gym today since my own gym is illegally closed due to the long weekend holiday. Just weights again: chest, shoulders, and triceps.

Monday, May 5: To Itewon (due to the public holiday) in the morning for a slightly different workout: traps, sides, lower abs (90 leg raises), calves, forearms, and a three-kilometre uphill treadmill trek/jog:

Thursday, May 8: A rare night workout in my alternate gym after a 7 p.m. meeting with the boss: back, lats, traps, biceps, abs, lower abs, and calves

Friday, May 9: Chest, shoulders, triceps, and a fast 1 kilometre sprint:

Saturday, May 10: A morning workout for my legs, sides, and lower back. I really expected to have sore thighs the next day, but I mustn’t have worked them as hard as I thought I did. I could have done more.
Monday, May 12: Back, biceps (biggest workout ever) lats, traps, and a 1.4 kilometre run:

Tuesday, May 13: Chest, shoulders, triceps, calves, and another short and fast run:

Wednesday, May 14: Another quite unique workout that almost didn’t take place: hamstrings, inner thighs, abs, lower abs, sides, lower back, and another one-kilometre run (1.1 to be precise).

Thursday, May 15: Just a quick thighs and calves workout tonight completed in around 25 minutes.
Saturday, May 17: Back, biceps, traps, lats (my regular back workout) ,and a longer (1.7-kilometre) fast run:

Monday, May 19: Chest, shoulders, triceps, and then home to a broken and dying computer.

Tuesday, May 20: A quick legs workout after buying a brand new supercomputer.

Thursday, May 22: A quick back, lats, traps, and biceps workout at my emergency back up gym.

Friday, May 23: Chest, shoulders, triceps, and a 1.2-kilometre sprint during which I reached a top world record speed of 18.2 kph:

Saturday, May 24: A super legs workout in the afternoon, and that was it for the month due to quite a hectic final May week.
